Loss and grief can make the holidays difficult; know that you’re not alone.
Silver Cross Hospital, in collaboration with Lincolnway Christian Church of New Lenox, is hosting a Surviving the Holidays Mourning Breakfast Friday, Nov. 30, from 7:30 to 9 a.m. in the hospital's Conference Center, 1890 Silver Cross Blvd., Pavilion A, New Lenox.
“Whether you have lost a loved one this year, last year or 10 years ago, the holidays can be difficult,” explains Silver Cross Chaplain Barbara Manning, “but together we can share some practical ways that can help during this season, and you may even find spiritual comfort.”
The free program will feature a complimentary breakfast, support, encouragement and advice for surviving the holidays.
“It’s a time where we can learn from each other and lean on each other, because we are walking in the same shoes,” she added.
For those unable to attend in person, Silver Cross is offering a WebEx Online so you can watch from the comfort of your home. Type in www.symc.ly/2FccFxK and follow the instructions on the screen.
