Silver Cross offers support groups in January

New Lenox, Silver Cross Hospital offers a support group for parents who have experienced loss during pregnancy, at birth or shortly after, or from early Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS). The Baby Bereavement Support Group will meet Thursday, Jan. 10, from 7 to 8 p.m. in the hospital’s Conference Center, 1890 Silver Cross Blvd., Pavilion A, New Lenox. Breastfeeding Support Group
The Silver Cross Birthing Center’s certified lactation consultants will host a free breastfeeding support group meeting on Monday, Jan. 14 and 28, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. and Friday, Jan. 4 and 18, from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the hospital’s Conference Center, Pavilion A, 1890 Silver Cross Blvd., New Lenox. New mothers have many questions and concerns about breastfeeding in the weeks leading up to and after birth. The Breastfeeding Support Group is a wonderful way to exchange information and experiences. Infants are welcome to attend. First-time participants should register in advance at www.silvercross.org.
Pulmonary Support Group
The Silver Cross Pulmonary Support Group provides education and support for individuals suffering from pulmonary disorders and their loved ones. Participants do not have to register. For more information, visit www.silvercross.org
Stroke Support Group
Stroke survivor’s family members and caregivers are welcome to attend the Silver Cross Neuroscience Institute’s Stroke Support Group. The meeting will take place on Wednesday, Jan. 9 and 23, from 4 to 5:30 p.m. in the Silver Cross Hospital Conference Center, 1890 Silver Cross Blvd., New Lenox.
