Plainfield, IL-On Friday, October 18th, 2019, the Plainfield Community Consolidated School District 202 informed the Plainfield Police Department of an incident that occurred on Thursday afternoon (10/17/2019) at Plainfield Central High School, 24120 W. Fort Beggs Drive, Plainfield, IL.

The Plainfield Police Department is currently investigating the alleged incident and working with the School District and the Will County State’s Attorney’s Office.

All the victims and suspects in this incident are juveniles. We have determined the initial allegation of a “hazing incident” does not meet the statutory definition of Hazing (720 ILCS 5/12C-50); as it was not part of an induction process and no bodily harm occurred. However, misdemeanor charges of Battery are pending against (4) juveniles.

This case is still under investigation
