Next week, State Representative Mark Batinick (R-Plainfield) is hosting a College Financial Aid & FAFSA Workshop in Plainfield. Rep. Batinick invites constituents on Tuesday, October 26th from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Plainfield Community Center (15014 S. Des Plaines St.) in Plainfield for this event.
“Attending college or university is a significant investment, requiring families to make long-term financial preparations,” said Rep. Batinick. “I’m happy to be hosting this event again to help families with a hands-on tutorial to help equip them financially for this next step in their lives.”
This event will include a presentation that will cover average college costs, types of financial aid, and how to apply. There will also be a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) completion workshop. Participants are asked to please bring their 2020 federal income tax returns and their laptops. Assistance and information for Spanish-speaking participants will also be available.
Masks will also be required for all attending and participating in this event.
